After a long break, it'll be nice to get back out and play!
The Wings Unfurled Mini-Tour UK dates end up here.
Advance tickets are available from Bristol Ticket Shop.
Also Eden have never played in Scotland before, and neither have Silhouette, so here goes!
Back in one of our favourite places for Wings Unfurled Mini-Tour UK date number two. Advance tickets available from the venue.
The Wings Unfurled Mini-Tour UK dates kick off at one of our favourite venues. Advance tickets can be bought from the venue.
We're delighted to have been invited over to Germany as the sole UK representatives at the first running of this international festival, in the amazing setting of Heidelberg Castle. Don't miss it!
We're off to Prog The Castle and it'd be silly not to stop off at Starsound in Utrecht, where the band last played three years ago, and where Rich often used to rehearse with Lords of the Backstage. Further info soon...
Judging by the initial response, I'd strongly recommending getting yourself an Advance Ticket.
We've not played The Louie for a while so it's about time we went back. Not played Bristol as a full band for a while either, tbh... For our special guests, Crimson Sky, this will be a last ever gig after a distinguished career, so don't miss it.
We enjoyed playing here so much last time, we're doing it again, with special guests The Gift.
So, as you can see, that's the Autumn, mini-tour all organised about six months earlier than we usually manage it!
We're once again delighted to have been invited by Danny Mayo to appear at The Musician at the fourth DanFest, having played the second event, in 2012. Danny also promoted a show with ourselves and The Room in November 2013, as part of the [REDACTED] album launch tour and we're very much looking forward to another show at this excellent venue.
We loved it so much last year, we're going back. This year we have Manning in Akoustik form opening up for us. Should be fun!
We like Riffs. You will too - come along!
We are delighted to announce that Si and Rich will be back in Oslo in October to open up for The Steve Rothery Band at John Dee, a venue Rich is very familiar with from his outings with Norwegian Marillion Tribute, Misplaced Neighbourhood.
Of course, Steve has himself played with Misplaced Neighbourhood a couple of times - as well as guesting on Comfortably Numb with Also Eden in January. I wonder what could be happening on Friday 3rd?...
Si and Rich are delighted to have been invited to play at the tenth edition of Summers End, aka SE X. A busy day, as we're off to headline the Maize Stage at Something Else In The Dean that evening.
Earlier in the year, Rich ended up playing his first ever solo set, at Bearded Theory Festival, in the Something Else Tent. Well, Gail must have been impressed because she's invited Rich to bring Si along and play on the Maize Stage at Something Else In The Dean 2014.
Sorry to disappoint anyone who wants to come though but the festival is sold out. You can always come along and see us at Summers End earlier in the day in Chepstow.
We'll be on at 7:15pm for an hour. Well, it's a festival, so that may change!
Resonance is a new festival and we are delighted to have been involved from the start and to be headlining the Jack Daniels Stage on the Friday night!
For further details and tickets, click through to the Facebook page from the link above or visit their website.
We're very pleased to have been asked to open up for Gordon and Oliver at this rare full electric performance. We'll be acoustic, of course...
A half-hour Neo Deals outing along with additional acts as yet unknown. There may well even be some new tracks...
A half-hour Neo Deals outing along with additional acts as yet unknown. There may well even be some new tracks...
It's Mark Colton, Credo vocalist's birthday bash.
Tickets are ONLY £10 each and Mark says, "When you think how much you would expect to pay to see this billing at a traditional festival, I am sure you will agree how "fair" and "minimal" the price is'. I'm hopeful you will also come and buy lots of CDs and Shirts from the bands on the night!!!"
Tickets are selling VERY FAST and are available from Riffs, Holmes Music, the Swindon Tourist Information Centre.
The last double-headers we did with Morpheus Rising were for the launches of our respective previous albums, Think Of The Children! and Let The Sleeper Awake. Well, we're at it again - Saturday, March 8th at The Asylum 2 in Birmingham, as part of our [REDACTED] launch mini-tour #2 and their Eximius Humanus launch tour.
And everyone who came to see The Room and ourselves at The Musician in Leicester will also understand why we're doing this one with them too. As it's pretty much home territory for us, we're hoping to get a big crowd out for this one, so come along and join the fun.
Evidently we like places called The Railway. We'll call the next album Trainspotting, I think. Anyway, everyone who came to see The Room and ourselves at The Musician in Leicester seemed to be rather enamoured of the combination, so we're doing it again.
Si and Rich have signed up with a promoter to get out and about a bit more as a duo, where we'll be playing tracks from the back catalogue and trying out new material.
We will be playing a half-hour set, no doubt similar to the one we did with Crimson Sky in Reading and featuring several songs from [REDACTED]. Get in touch with us to buy advance tickets cheaply.
Rounding off the [REDACTED] album launch weekend, we're returning to the scene of a couple of very pleasant gigs in the last year, The Musician in Leicester. Support from Reading band, The Room.
G, H and Lee get an evening off during the launch gigs, as Si and Rich open up for our friends Crimson Sky.
The Railway is a great venue where some of us enjoyed Mr So & So a short while back, so we've arranged our first [REDACTED] album launch gig there, with them!
Kicking off the [REDACTED] album launch tour, we'll be playing a new venue for us, probably with a local support - further details to follow.
We very much enjoyed Jump's acoustic set at The Robin so are looking forward to opening up for them at The Corporation, a new venue for us.
We've been invited by the Classic Rock Society to open up for the rather excellent Moon Safari.
We're looking forward to this trip oop North for a double-header with our F2 label-mates, Manning.
The last time Rich supported Red Jasper was with his band, Sane, at the Bristol Bierkeller, in 1992! Like Also Eden, they've had a few line-up changes over the years and we were very interested to be invited to open up this show and check them out. To make things sensible from a timing and logistics perspective, this will be an outing for Si & Rich, now under the new moniker, Neo Deals (yes, that's right, it is). Our friends Crimson Sky will be second on.
Manning and Jump are both bands that have been features of the UK progressive rock scene for many a year and we're delighted to be taking part in this triple-header. Jump will be opening proceedings, Manning up next, with Also Eden rounding off the evening in our usual style. Those of you who attended the previous triple-bill with Crimson Sky and Mr So & So will know that this will be an event well worth attending.
We're excited to have been asked to appear at this new festival, which takes place in what sounds like a very interesting environment (a former steel works - see the website for further details). As with YProg the previous month, the line-up is excellent and we're looking forward to seeing many of the other acts.
We very much enjoyed the gig we did at The Globe with Sankara and Howard Sinclair in July, so we're doing it again, with the rather wonderful Matt Stevens supporting. Ticket details to follow shortly.
Danny Mayo, organiser of Danfest, where we recently had such a great time, is having a 50th Birthday Bash in March and has invited us to open up the show. The headline act is The Watch, who are an apparently very good early Genesis Tribute, so I'm sure Si will spend the whole evening studying guitar tunings and chords!
They normally sell out, so if you fancy coming, get over here and Buy A Ticket!
Marillion's Steve Rothery has previously guested on Sugar Mice with the Norwegian Marillion tribute, Misplaced Neighbourhood, for whom Rich sings. Rich, Steve and Mr So & So also played some old Marillion tracks at The Peel, back in February 2012. This time, Steve and Misplaced are getting together to play a number of old tracks, some of which Steve hasn't played since the 80s and we've been invited to open the show. Tickets are selling fast, so get over here if you want one!
We're very pleased to have been asked by Danny to play and are now playing second in the evening session, followed by headliners Galahad. If you want a ticket and you don't have one yet, I believe it's close to selling out.
As a warm-up for Danfest the following night, we're playing The Peel with our friends Mr So & So. It's the 49th anniversaries of both the Kennedy Assassination (well, a day out) and the first broadcast of Dr Who, so expect some surprises.
It's Sankara's Guided By Degress album launch, and they've invited Si and Rich to open up for them - we'll be playing a selection of Also Eden tracks, including some not normally heard in the full electric set, plus maybe a cover or two.
Very excited about this short-notice support gig at a relatively new Bristol venue (which has had previous guises, the most recent being Castro's). We can sell you tickets directly for £8 - instead of £12.50 (Adv) / £15 (Door). (Contact us via the usual channels.)
Please note that it's an early start, as the venue has a curfew - be there by 7PM.
We're delighted to be playing a headline set at the Robin2, one of our favourite venues, along with the brilliant Mr So & So and the wonderful Crimson Sky. It promises to be a wonderful evening of contemporary progressive rock, so come on down! Tickets are £8 advance, £10 on the door, doors open 7pm, show kick-off 7:30pm!
This is our first time at the Globe, Cardiff, and we're especially pleased to be working with Sankara. It should be a great night! Tickets are £8 advance, available from EventBrite (booking fee £1.13), or £10 on the door, doors open 730pm, show kick-off 8pm!
The second gig of the mini-tour is at De Kade in Zaandam (an easy walk from the train station), just north of Amsterdam. Tickets are again only EUR 10 in advance (plus EUR 1.50 booking fee), from TicketScript or EUR 12.50 on the door.
We're off to The Netherlands with Maschine (formerly known as Concrete Lake), winners of both the CRPP and CRS Best Newcomer awards for 2011. The first gig is at Starsound in Utrecht, where the band last played three years ago, and where Rich often rehearses with Lords of the Backstage. Tickets are only EUR 10 in advance (plus EUR 1.50 booking fee), from TicketScript or EUR 12.50 on the door.
This is the second of two double-headers with the most excellent Leatherat, who are a very well-established "progressive folk" band from Banbury. Both bands will be playing full sets - Also Eden on second this time - but don't be late, or you'll kick yourselves for missing Leatherat. As with the 12 Bar double-header, tickets are only £8 in advance or £10 on the door (from The Fleece directly or usual Bristol ticket outlets).
It's, obviously, an absolute disgrace that the band haven't played in Wales, seeing as we're half Welsh, so we're going to rectify that! We're hoping to get in a decent audience, so it's only three pounds on the door. This date was going to be a week later, but it'd be rather silly having two prog gigs in Porth on the same night! Support from local outfit The Hounds Of Justice.
A first outing for Also Eden at a Bristol venue that Rich last played with Midnight Rambler in about 1997. Support band is Dark Energy, who last played with us at The Louisiana, back in August. This gig is Free Entry!
A swift return to one of the Think Of The Children! album launch venues, this time as a double-header with the most excellent Leatherat, who are a very well-established "progressive folk" band from Banbury. Both bands will be playing full sets, so don't be late. Probably a good idea to get a ticket in advance too, not just because they're only £8 (£10 on the door), but also because just over the border in Oxfordshire Leatherat gigs often sell out.
It'd be rude to come "oop north" and not take the opportunity to play more than one gig, so we've secured a slot a The Avenue's 7th Xmas Festival - in aid of The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. We're playing at 5.30pm, so come along, say hello, and stay for the evening (there are bands on before us too).
A first trip up North for us, "returning the favour" to Morpheus Rising. Door tax: £6.
Short-notice gig - supporting the excellent Godsticks.
We'll be rounding off album launch weekend with this support slot at the Robin 2.
This will be the second of two gigs to launch our new album, Think of the Children! The 12 Bar is an excellent venue and we're very much looking forward to playing it for the first time.
This will be the first of two gigs to launch our new album, Think of the Children. We'll be playing a good proportion - indeed maybe all - of the album.
Please do come along to this one, which we've booked at short-notice as a bit of a warm-up - it's only 4 quid in advance, 5 quid on the door.
We've been invited to headline at this bijou little venue that's quite well known as a regular stop on the up-and-coming band scene. Support band is Dark Energy, featuring a very old friend of Rich's on guitar and vocals.
We're delighted to have been asked to play at this four-day festival, with other acts on the Friday including Godsticks, Morpheus Rising, Heather Findlay, John Otway and Manning.
A home town gig for Rich, albeit that he now lives back in the land of his fathers. Should be good!
We're delighted to be playing at the inaugral outing of the Electric Garden Festival in Blackpool. We'll be there on the Thursday night playing 845pm and supporting Credo. Hope to see you there!
Another night out on the town with our Tinyfish friends, this time at the wonderful Peel - a favourite venue of ours!
We're delighted to be supporting the excellent Tinyfish as they promote their wonderful album "The Big Red Spark". This will be our first outing of 2011 - and the first gig since Rich's accident in July 2010.
